The Second Grade program focuses on teaching social studies, writing, and math. The math program sharpens skills in double-digit addition/subtraction, fractions, multiplication and light division. Students focus on becoming more proficient readers and build their comprehension skills in the written form as well. They develop skills in writing poetry, letters, stories and more. In social studies students learn about communities far and wide, our ancestors and our great nation. In addition, the program includes religion instruction celebrating the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion with our church community. Students also work with a science, art, music, P.E. and computer technology specialist as well.
